see it

The most obvious way to view kinetic art is in motion. These sculptures are mesmerizing. Watching the marbles whip around corners and through loops occupies me for hours. But – I find viewing the sculptures without marbles to be equally as interesting. It isn’t until the distraction of the movement is gone that one can begin to appreciate the precise twists and curves that create the marble’s path. The track itself is the product of hours of hand bending, testing, and refining. After watching the movement as a whole, I then focus on specific sections of track – there is always one or two elements that are the most captivating in each piece. Finding these unique sections of the track is another way that I enjoy these sculptures. I currently have a variety of pictures and videos posted – to see them, select one of the sculptures from the drop-down menu on the ‘see it’ button.
